Nude woman(Venus of Willendorf), from Willendorf, Austria, ca. 28,000-25,000 BCE. Limestone, 11.1 cm.
One of the oldest sculptures known, this tiny figurine is named Venus of Willendorf, which represents love, marriage and fertility. These characters are the expectations for women during Paolethic era. The comparatatively huge breasts compare to the tiny hands around it shows that females are taking the responsibility to multiply the population.
